Vee Deplidge - Producer

Vee Deplidge
Producer

In 1993, Wild Rose producer Vee Deplidge pioneered the concept of Theatre on Ice with productions designed to fit on theatre stages.

When Prince Rainier of Monaco saw the show for the first time he announced
"This is the kind of classy family show that Monaco needs every year".
This told Vee that her tiny acorn had indeed flourished into a mighty oak.

Born in a small Yorkshire village, Vee’s unique style took her to Sunderland Flying Club where she was a director of the flying school to her promoting showbiz concerts and theatre shows for Syd Lawrence and his band, The Bolshoi Ballet, The Georgian State Dancers, Band of the Royal Marines, and Rudolph Nureyev’s UK Tour.

During her time at the flying club, Vee acquired her pilot’s licence, learned to parachute, and originated sponsored parachute jumps in Britain, raising £26,000 for one charity after persuading nurses, doctors and reporters as well as pilots to jump out of a plane.

Vee lives in what she regards as, the most beautiful setting in the world, a five hundred year old watermill in North Wales, along with her partner, three cats
and her four Japanese Akita & Pyrean Mountain dogs.

Following the success of Wild Rose’s first production of the Russian Ice Stars in the UK with The Sleeping Beauty on Ice, Vee’s original vision has led the show to worldwide success, playing to sell-out audiences in Denmark, Cyprus, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand and Monte Carlo.
